Shuffle

You can tell it's Bombay Bicycle Club, but they've moved their sound on a bit from their previous records. Shuffle incorporates some subtle and well placed vocal and instrumental effects which make it sound just a tiny bit off. By 'off', I mean to say that it's not what you expect, but it's definitely nice.
The song is pounded by a tremendous repeating piano riff, accompanied by some nice drumming and surprisingly little guitar. It's a good mix, and although the emphasis is squarely on the piano and percussion, the vocals are definitely not drowned out. They themselves aren't particularly overpowering, with more of an echoey feel to them.
It's a fast-paced, light and above all happy summer song which seems to have been lacking this year. The album release in late August is shaping up to be a must buy, especially based on the strength of this song.
