This EP is a wonderful collection of beautifully crafted songs. The haunting, mellowed, wispy (yet somehow croaky) vocals coupled with the sweet, light acoustic guitar relax you to the core. They're all acoustic-guitar-heavy, which gives the whole EP a really chilled feel. It makes you feel like doing absolutely nothing while you listen to it.

That's not to say that these tracks are melancholy. They do hint at sadness, but more than that they hint at hope (especially Candles). The fact that there is very little in the way of drums certainly removes some of the happy sounds you might feel, but they're still there.

The vocals on all the songs is stunning. She has one of those voices which is perfect for this sound - chilling yet warm, sweet and soft, yet not annoyingly high-pitched. It's a good mix.

I'm not quite sure how Daughter isn't more popular than she is. She certainly deserves to be based on the quality songs on this EP. I urge you to buy it on Amazon or iTunes (or somewhere) - it's only about £3!
